Terms and Conditions of Hire
Goods supplied at all times remain the property of Tablewarehire.abettercaterer.co.uk trading under A Better Caterer.
1. The hire rates include 3 day hire period commencing on the day of delivery, day of hire and the day of collection, unless otherwise agreed. Items not available for collection on an agreed date will charged at an extra 10% of the total hire rate for each overdue day.
2. A deposit of 50% of the total hire charge, or £10.00 whichever is higher is due together with the hire charge on ordering or before the commencement of hire.
3. Goods collected will be counted after washing and the deposit will be returned by post after the equipment has been checked. Where the deposit is not sufficent to cover breakages the hirer will be liable for the balance. Replacement goods purchased by the hirer are not accepted.
4. All lost, damaged, cracked or chipped crockery and glassware will be charged at £2.00 per item, damaged or lost cutlery will be charged at 50p per item. All other items lost or damaged will be charged at an agreed current list price to replace the item.
5. There is minimum hire charge of £10.00, there is no minimum hire charge when hiring equipment with a buffet supplied by A Better Caterer. All of the equipment is dispatched clean and ready to use. If you choose not use the washing up service the assumption is that all equipment is returned clean and all glassware polished. If items are returned soiled an additional 10p per item returned soiled will be deducted from your deposit.
6. Delivery boxes will be charged at £10.00, if damaged, part missing or not returned.
7. All items must be signed for on delivery and a collection time arranged with your driver, if the goods are unavailable for collection at the arranged collection time a further delivery/collection charge as agreed on ordering will be charged.
8. A delivery/ collection charge is not included in the hire cost. Delivery/collection charges are calculated depending on the value of the order and delivery/collection distance.
9. No delivery charge will be made when hiring equipment with a buffet supplied by A Better Caterer.
10. There will be no cancellation charge if your order is cancelled within 7 days prior to ordering. You will lose your deposit if your order is cancelled thereafter.
11. Table Linen is supplied by Magna Hygiene Services, HInckley, Any linen returned with excessive staining and or burn marks will be charged at the full replacement cost and is done so at the discretion of A Better Caterer.
12. Loss, accidental damage or injury is not covered by A Better Caterers Insurance and is entirely at the hirers own risk.
13. Where required safety, installation and recommended usage instructions will be supplied. It is important that the hirer makes his/herself familiar with these instructions as the hirer is responsible for the safe usage of the equipment.
14. A copy of these terms and conditions will be sent prior to every order via email or post.
